For the daily, unhindered participation of those attending the programs at the Open Door Centre, the opportunity for them to be transferred from and to their homes plays an important role.
People with physical disabilities still face many difficulties related to their transport (accessibility and safety issues), which often constitute a limiting factor for their participation in even the simplest daily activities.
The Open Door Centre provides daily free transportation to all beneficiaries with school buses, donated by major Institutions, and private donors.
The school buses are especially designed to transport people with physical disabilities, equipped with special seats, tiebacks, bands, belts and lifts for wheelchair users.
The transport range covers the entire Attica region.
