Starting in 1993, Cerebral Palsy Greece/Open Door has implemented a series of co-financed vocational training programs for adults with disabilities, which now operate in the form of Productive Workshops.

In the summer of 2020, Cerebral Palsy Greece/Open Door founded the “Social Cooperative Enterprise for the Inclusion of Vulnerable Groups“ (KOIN.S.EP. ANTHIZO), aiming at the production and sale of handmade goods and the access of adults with cerebral palsy to the open labor market.

ARTWORK WORKSHOP

The Artwork Workshop “BLOSSOMING” trains its members in the production of art products of high aesthetic quality. The products (notepads, mugs, plates, pillows, bags, t-shirts, scarves, placemats, etc.) are decorated with designs by well-known Greek artists, that have been kindly offered to us for this purpose.

PASTRY WORKSHOP

The trainees of the Pastry Workshop “BEESNEST” undertake the daily provision and distribution of meals to the employees and children of the Open Door Centre. They are an integral part of the Safe-Nourishment Project while also producing desserts and delicacies and providing catering services for various events at the Open Door Centre.

GRAPHIC ARTS & COMPUTER TRAINING WORKSHOP

The Graphic Arts & Computer Training Workshop “SEAL” trains its members in modern technologies and safe internet navigation, with the help of appropriate occupational therapy interventions (alternative keyboards, special software). The trainees also design and produce invitations for weddings, christenings and social events.

GIFT ITEMS AND JEWELRY & ACCESSORIES WORKSHOP

The trainees of the “PANDORA” Gift Items Workshop and the “PEARL” Jewelry & Accessories Workshop, design and produce handmade products of high quality for sale at the Open Door Gift Shop, as well as at festivals and various events.

GARDENING WORKSHOP

The “OLLEANDER” Gardening Workshop offers the trainees the opportunity and the joy of coming into contact with nature, in a direct and creative way.

The Workshop undertakes the maintenance and care of the Open Door garden, as well as the cultivation of plants and vegetables, which are available at the Open Door Gift Shop and at festival and events.
