Quality policy

Since its founding in 1972, Cerebral Palsy Greece/Open Door has charted a successful and honorable course in the service of people suffering from cerebral palsy in Greece.

C.P.G has never isolated itself or the people in its care. On the contrary it has always tried to overcome the barriers caused by ignorance and prejudice and by building strong bridges of communication seeks to assure the person with disability’s place in society, by offering equal opportunities for experience and knowledge.

After 45 years this attitude characterizes the work and aims of Cerebral Palsy Greece/Open Door more than ever and at the Open Door Centre of Education and Rehabilitation, which was inaugurated by H.E. the President of the Hellenic Republic, Mr. Constantine Stephanopoulos, on December 12, 2001, our door is wide open.

Step by step, with careful preparation and scientific criteria, a wide range of services and programs are in operation, all of them aiming to provide the highest possible standard of education and rehabilitation.

Thus, with full educational and support services, children with cerebral palsy grow to adulthood, with equality of opportunity to flourish and develop as individuals and to use their experiences, skills, knowledge and talents to the full.

The new century has brought new challenges and changes of its own, and Cerebral Palsy Greece/Open Door intends rising to these challenges and meeting them with vigour. It will continue to carry out its responsibilities with great prudence and care to ensure the highest possible maintenance of standards at all levels in the face of increased competition in an ever more complex world. It will be vigilant in this respect in any area of society where there is need, and will always press for changes for the better where necessary.

With our eyes open, we constantly evolve. With our minds open, we adhere to the legislation dictates that concern our services and procedures, including total respect for the personal data of our beneficiaries. With our ears open, we welcome every well-meant suggestion and recommendation for improvement.

We preserve and constantly improve the Centre of Lifelong Learning Level 2 (KEDIVIM 2), which is certified by EOPPEP (National Organisation for the Certification of Qualifications and Vocational Guidance). This sector, as well as Cerebral Palsy Greece/Open Door itself, implements programs that concern in-service training, reeducation and support services, as well as programs that aim at supporting the overall operation of Cerebral Palsy Greece/Open Door and broadening the services we provide.

We look towards the future, to new ideas and new people, while applying the System of Quality Management and Management Adequacy, according to the requirements of the ISO 9001:2008 and ELOT 1429:2008 models, through which we seek constant quality improvement.
