Prevocational Training and Occupational Group for Teenagers

Cerebral Palsy Greece has always recognized the importance of prevocational training for young people with cerebral palsy. For this reason the Society collaborated on a series of programmes partly financed by the European Commission that addressed the need for vocational training and professional integration for people with disabilities.

With the purpose of preparing young people for the professional procedure, vocational training and occupational groups were established for adolescents (aged 15-18), staffed by highly specialized personnel.

The 3year programme offers training in:
•    vocational orientation
•    enhancement of function and skills
•    simple constructions
•    further education
•    socialization and cooperation
•    daily living activities

The students are also enrolled in programmes of group physiotherapy, gymnastics, music and therapeutic swimming.
