After over twelve months of preparation, we are happy to present our documentary “Persephone, Goddess of the Seasons”.
The fear of primitive man that nothing will ever grow again after the dark winter months, finds its answer in the eternal Greek myth of Demeter and her daughter Persephone, who returns from the Underworld every spring.
The film, based on the myth of Persephone, is the result of a collaboration between 10 European organizations serving people with disabilities, and under the auspices of the Lighthouse Network of EASPD (European Association of Service Providers for Persons with Disabilities), the whole project was coordinated by Cerebral Palsy Greece/Open Door.
We thank everyone who took part in this wonderful and meaningful cooperation, and we express our deepest appreciation to award-winning director, Marianna Economou, who wove 10 separate contributions into one magical story.
